C Culinarium

At Hotel Angelo Engel you can expect a rich breakfast buffet, a small cake buffet in the afternoon and à la carte dinner with culinary specialties from traditional South Tyrolean and classic Italian cuisine.

When composing our menus, we give preference to seasonal and local products, which are processed daily into tempting creations with a great deal of finesse.

In high summer, a special highlight awaits our guests with the alpine barbecue in the mountains. We hike to a special cottage just for our guests, located on a beautiful Dolomite alpine pasture. Completely surrounded by nature, you will enjoy selected South Tyrolean wines, sous vide cooked rib-eye steak, and probably the best Kaiserschmarrn (Tyrolean fluffy shredded pancake) in the Alps.
 

The use of fresh and high-quality products is part of our philosophy. We source our ingredients from the local area as far as possible. For example, we source products such as fresh milk, yoghurt and apples 100% from South Tyrol. We get the farm butter directly from the Pradac farm high above Ortisei and the honey partly from our own beehives in the garden.

Here at the hotel, we have one of the best tap waters you can ask for sourced directly from the “Cunfin” springs at the foot of the Sassolungo mountain. Enjoy this fresh water for free and you will never want to buy plastic water bottles again!
