Majestatyczne krajobrazy Dolomitów

Val Gardena – Raj na śniegu w Dolomitach

The Dolomites are regarded as crown of the Alps. This is where absolute opposites meet: Rocky mountain peaks growing out of extensive high plateaus, ideal scene for a fantastic ski resort. Since June 2009 the Dolomites became part of the Natural UNESCO World Heritage the world's highest recognition for a natural site.

Until the 18 century, they were called the “pale mountains” for their unique mountain formations and bright limestone rock. This Rock, discovered by the French geologist Déodat de Dolomieu (1750 - 1801), gave them their new name “Dolomites”.

Ortisei – Val Gardena

Valgardena hosts the three villages of Ortisei, St. Cristina and Selva. Ortisei, with its nearly 5000 inhabitants, is the main village and can look back on ancient commercial activities and a rich history. Since more than 2 centuries, Ortisei is known as an international center for woodcarving and wood art.

Directly from the center of Ortisei, one can reach directly 3 of the most beautiful sites and skiing areas of the Dolomites. The Alpe di Siusi, largest high plateau of Europe. Raschötz, with the nature park Puez Geisler and Seceda, from where you have a wonderful 360° view of the south and north Tyrolean and the Swiss Alps and direct access to the Dolomiti Superski area and the Sella Ronda. The cosy pedestrian area, with its nice cafés, vinoteques and well equipped shops, invites you to promenade, enjoy the evening with a tasty aperitif or just hang around and enjoy the idleness.
